ENROLMENT AT WESTGROVE
Under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006, schooling is compulsory for students aged between 6 and 17 years unless an exemption from attendance has been granted.
As per DET guidelines, Westgrove will accept enrolments for students who reside in our designated neighbourhood area (DNA). Please refer to the www.findmyschool.vic.gov.au website to determine if you reside in our DNA.
For students transferring from another school, if you do reside in our DNA and choose to enrol at Westgrove, please call the office to make an enrolment appointment.
Prep enrolments are taken throughout the year. A specific appointment does not need to be made for a Prep enrolment.
To finalise an enrolment, you will need to provide:
Birth certificate (original to be sighted)
Passport / Visa if child is born outside of Australia
Proof of address (utility bill with current address on it)
Ensure that their child is eligible for enrolment having turned 5 years of age by 30th April of the upcoming Prep year (for Prep enrolments)
Enrolment forms are completed at school. Please allow about 30 minutes to do this.
Should you have any queries regarding enrolment, please check the DET website for further information www.education.vic.gov.au/parents/going-to-school/Pages/choose-enrol-school.aspx
