Helping Hands

Helping Hands (Parent Association) has been a vital part of Westgrove Primary School for the past 24 years. Every year Helping Hands have held fundraisers such as chocolate drives, school discoes, Bunnings BBQs, Hot cross bun drives, Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls, BBQs on election days, the school cookbook and much more.

The money raised from these events have funded many important things around the school such as playground equipment, science packs, class headphone sets, the rock climbing wall, art room furniture and more recently contributed to the refurbishment of the front of the school. This list goes on and on. All of these contributions your children use and enjoy everyday and help deepen and strengthen your child’s experience at school. There have been a very dedicated bunch of helpers each year to make this possible.

Helping Hands is a fabulous opportunity to meet other people and be part of a productive and friendly team that contributes heavily to the education of your child. Our community would not be the same without them.

Without the help of new members Helping Hands may not be able to continue. Our future fundraisers and school events cannot be run by only a few committed parents. If we are to continue to run the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls and raising funds to support our school and students, we desperately need new members and ask that you contact us via and if possible attend our AGM on Monday 4th March at 9.15am in the studio.

We are really looking for anyone to join our team!! Please come along and get involved with our fabulous, diverse community. We welcome everyone and their contribution.

If anyone would like to nominate as an office bearer in the Helping Hands there will be nominations forms available at the meeting or they can be obtained from the office.
